Slimona (generic of Acomplia) does it work by selectively
blocking CB1 Endocannabinoid receptor antagonist that are located in
the brain and in the organs that are important in metabolizing
glucose and lipid (a.k.a. fat). These organs include the liver,
gastric tract and muscle. When the CB1 receptor blocked by Slimona,
there is a corresponding and dramatic reduction in the high level of
activity of the endocannabinoid system.
The endocannabinoid system has been identified as the physiological
system that contains receptors including the CB1 receptor. This
system was found to play a pivotal part role in controlling body
weight and balance of energy. It was also found to control the
metabolism of glucose and lipid. Therefore, Slimona behaves in such
a manner that it suppresses appetite. Slimona not only contains your
appetite, it also contains the urge smokers have to take in tobacco
thus Slimona makes you eat less and smoke less.
Slimona (Acomplia) as a prescription drug is used primarily to treat
persons who are overweight and have an initial Body Mass Index of
greater than or equal to 30 kg/m2. Persons who are overweight but
have a Body Mass Index of 27 kg/m2 or higher and also have medical
risk factors like diabetes are also prescribed Slimona.
Persons who are about to take Slimona are advised to use the drug
along with a healthy diet and exercise. If you have not done so, you
are advised to consult a medical physician before you decide to take
Acomplia as a treatment.
